Memorial Hospital Welcomes New CFO

Memorial Hospital announced today Ashley Johnson, CPA, has joined Memorial Hospital as its Chief Financial Officer (CFO.) Johnson’s position encompasses all financial operations of the hospital, including the budget for the $80M Patient Tower project currently underway. The 5-story Tower will offer 72 private patient rooms, a new entrance, waiting areas and reception area. Further renovations throughout the hospital will include a new cafeteria and remodeling all existing areas. The Heart Center renovation and expansion is slated to begin in early 2008. This new wing will include a new cath lab, a new EP lab with state-of-the-art 3D mapping software and 24 pre/post OP procedure rooms

Johnson, a graduate of the University of Central Florida, holds a Bachelor of Science in Management and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting.  She is also a Certified Public Accountant.

“I am looking forward to becoming a part of the Memorial Hospital team and watching as we grow, especially as construction on the Patient Tower takes shape,” Johnson said. “There are so many exciting changes in the coming months; I look forward to working with such a dynamic team.”

Johnson has come to Jacksonville from Sanford, Florida, where she was the Chief Financial Officer at Central Florida Regional Hospital.  She is responsible for facility coordination of all shared services, including the business office, supply chain, revenue integrity, payroll and contracts.
