Intensive Care Unit

Our primary goal in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit is to provide the best care possible to your loved one. Our multidisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, and other support personnel has been specially trained and is skilled in providing care to those in the unit. Please rest assured that those providing patient care are working to help your loved one in their recovery process.

Memorial Hospital knows the contributions that family and loved ones can provide to the recovery process of someone in the ICU. We welcome visitors but request that you please be mindful of keeping a quiet environment for the benefit of all patients and visitors. To minimize excess noise, please do not use cell phones in the patient areas. The ICU visiting hours are staggered throughout the day to allow patients time to rest.

Visiting hours for adults and children over the age of 12 are 9-9:30 a.m., 11-11:30 a.m., 1-1:30 p.m., 3-3:30 p.m., 5-5:30 p.m., 8-8:30 p.m. and 10-10:30 p.m. We ask that there be no more than three visitors in the room at a time. If it is necessary for us to provide care to the patient during visiting hours, you will be asked to leave the room to protect your loved one's privacy and dignity. Please know that we will do our best to make sure you can visit with your loved one as much as his/her condition allows during visiting hours.

If you have questions, please ask a nurse for assistance.
