Our professional and clinically trained chaplains, provide spiritual care to the patients, their families and the members of our hospital staff. Our chaplains are always ready to lend a listening ear and a compassionate heart to all those in need.
Pastoral Care Services
Pastoral care and support is offered to our patients and their family members who are experiencing tough times during their hospital stay.
We provide assistance in meeting the spiritual needs of all faiths, no matter their religious affiliation. We offer Communion, Baptism, Anointing, Confession, Last rights, Spiritual Counseling, Support Groups, Grief Counseling and Spiritual Literature.
To some patients, spiritual care is just as important as the medical care they receive. We provide patient visitations, a spiritual presence when needed and end of life support for patients and their loved ones.
We also assist and collaborate with area clergy and help in any way possible as they come into Memorial Hospital seeking to minister to their own parishioners and clergy members.
Our normal office hours are Mon - Fri: 8:30am – 5:00pm, however the Pastoral Care Department is available 24 hours, 7 days a week by calling (904) 702-1168.
Our Department Head, Chaplain Larry Glover along with our on-call Pastoral Care Team chaplains, are always standing by for your calls. The chapel itself never closes and is always open and available for your convenience, quiet time and personal devotions.
