Dr. Anderson has a strong interest in stereotactic body radiosurgery, an effective technique to treat tumors in the brain and body. While on faculty at Emory University, she and a fellow neurosurgeon co-founded the Spine Tumor Clinic. It became one of the first clinics in the Southeast dedicated to treating tumors that either developed in or had spread to the spine with a goal of providing rapid pain relief and preserving neurologic function. In addition, she served a principal investigator for Emory for two national trials investigating the use of radiosurgery to treat tumors in the lung and spine.
