Memorial Hospital has earned the Gold Seal of Approval™ from The Joint Commission for Primary Stroke Centers. Memorial earned this distinction after the Joint Commission conducted an unannounced on-site review. Memorial is the only hospital on Jacksonville’s southside with such a designation. Memorial also received the American Heart/American Stroke Association’s Get With The Guidelines Stroke Gold Plus Performance Achievement Award. The award recognizes Memorial Hospital’s commitment and success in implementing a higher standard of stroke care by ensuring that stroke patients receive treatment according to nationally accepted standards and recommendations.

The Memorial Neuroscience Center provides special expertise and state-of-the-art care for patients with the following problems:

ROBOT-Rx TM drug dispensing System
Memorial Hospital uses its ROBOT-RxTM drug dispensing system to accurately fill over 5,000 doses of inpatient medications daily. The robot dispenses approximately 85-90% of Memorial's inpatient medications.
Cardiac Catheterization Labs
The Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory offers the best in technology and most skilled physicians in the region. In fact, Memorial’s Cath Lab does more procedures than any other hospital in northeast Florida.
Memorial has a new Lightspeed QX/i CT Scanner from GE Medical Systems. This scanner is up to six times faster than traditional CT scanners. Using the lightspeed CT scanner, a CT scan of the body that used to take 3 minutes can now be completed in 20 seconds.
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
Memorial has a new state-of-the-art 1.5 T Signa MRI which offers faster scanning times, increased accuracy, high resolution and superior image quality.
