Memorial Hospital’s Breast Center located in the Memorial Healthcare Plaza (3901 University Blvd. S., Jacksonville, FL 32216) now offers extended hours for screening mammograms Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:15 p.m.

Memorial’s comprehensive Breast Center provides 3D mammography, diagnostic breast ultrasound, ultrasound guided core biopsy, stereotactic core biopsy, MRI, MRI guided core biopsy, pre-surgical procedures and patient navigation.

“Breast cancer screening with mammography saves lives. Women should have yearly screening mammograms beginning at age 40,” said Dianne Johnson, MD, Director of Breast Imaging at Memorial Hospital. “Patients who are screened are given a risk assessment and those who are at a high risk for breast cancer due to family history and other risk factors can benefit from our high-risk screening program using MRI.”

Memorial Hospital’s Breast Center is an American College of Radiology (ACR) Breast Imaging Center of Excellence and is fully accredited by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC) and Commission on Cancer (COC). The center’s state-of-the art 3D mammography equipment offers improved early cancer detection.
