Dr. Aaron West, Chief Medical Officer at Memorial Hospital, presented this month’s Positively Jax award to Bonnie McNulty, Director of the Mandarin Food Bank.
This program is a partnership between Channel 4 and Memorial Hospital to recognize people and businesses that make a positive impact on our community.
Not only is Bonnie a volunteer but she is also a leader. The organization, which is run entirely by volunteers, provides emergency food and clothing to those in need in the Mandarin Community. Bonnie has spent 25 years leading the teams of volunteers who wake up before the sun even rises to make sure underprivileged families, migrant farmworkers and military members are clothed and fed. During the holidays, Bonnie takes on even more as she makes sure the underprivileged children have toys for Christmas.
