Nominate a Memorial Nurse for the DAISY Award
At Memorial Hospital, we honor our nurses who provide extraordinary care with The DAISY Award, an international nurse recognition program that celebrates the compassion and skill nurses bring to patients and families every day. When a Memorial Hospital nurse is honored with a DAISY Award, we celebrate this recognition publically with a ceremony, a DAISY Award badge pin, and a beautiful hand-carved stone sculpture. Please consider submitting a nomination for a Memorial nurse who displayed these qualities while caring for you or your loved one. There is no cost involved. It is just a simple way you may express your gratitude for a special nurse.
About the Daisy Foundation
The DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses was created in memory of J. Patrick Barnes who died at 33 of ITP, an auto-immune disease. The Barnes Family was awestruck by the clinical skills, caring and compassion of the nurses who cared for Patrick, so they created this international award to say thank you to nurses everywhere.
